Companies
The Dominican Republic has flexible and
business-friendly corporate law, meaning that Dominican companies can be

The most common corporate form is the regular company or compañia por
acciones which is abbreviated to either C. x A. or S.A.
Some of the attractive features are:

All Dominican companies must register for a tax number, which will be
necessary for doing business in the country, opening bank accounts etc.
Physical presence of the signatories is necessary to establish bank
accounts.
Incorporation requires a minimum of seven shareholders, but it is common to
use nominees for this purpose. When incorporating companies for clients we
do provide nominee service.
Typical timescale for incorporation and all necessary formation procedures,
obtaining tax number etc is 4-6 weeks.
